The Washington City Mission has been serving the homeless and poor of this region since 1941. The world around us has changed dramatically over those
many years. From earlier days when streetcars ran in Washington City, steel provided employment for the valley and glass plants abounded, so much has changed.
From the beginning our desire has been to feed, clothe and shelter struggling individuals, help them break free from addictions and bondage and offer them a better way to live.
Although our methods of serving the "broken and lost" have changed, the heart of the Washington City Mission remains the same. We have been and remain steadfast in being unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and committed to share His life-changing word and love with all whom we serve. That will not change as we go forward into this new century.
